Menzies, a historic gold mining town located north of Kalgoorlie is going through a resurgence. The famous Lake Ballard and the Gormley Statues lie 55 kilometres to the north-west and day tours from Kalgoorlie regularly visit the art installation coined as the largest outdoor gallery on Earth.
