Blackbutt comprises 1,716* hectares with 1,150* arable hectares. Blackbutt has good infrastructure with dwelling, shearing shed and yards, fertiliser shed, machinery shed and silos. Some soil ameliorated was undertaken in 2023. There are Mally shelter belts for livestock. Blackbutt has a conservation covenant to retain and protect 496.57 ha of native vegetation in perpetuity. Soils comprise yellow sands with some sandy gravels, with soils in the western portion comprising sandy gravels and gravelly pale and yellow deep sands. Bore water has main's powered submersible pump for livestock and spraying. There are 4 tanks that gravity feed stock water troughs.
