Donnie was brilliant from the get go. We said we wanted an honest opinion of what we should expect to sell our property for & not inflated to get the listing. He knew his stuff & showed many examples of properties either recently sold or on the market as well as knowing what was happening in the region to help advise what he believed would be achievable in the current market. He sold our property within 3 weeks which was quicker than what he said he would do & slightly more than he said should be our bottom dollar. We visited 2 other agents before deciding who to choose to act for us & both of those said a significantly lower expected sale price & didn't seem to be as up to date with what is happening in the area & just expected us to choose them because they were long time "locals". We saw the fact that Donnie hasn't been living in the area for as long as some others as an advantage & not just relying on the fact that they had been in the area longer & therefore knew more - from our experience that was not the case. We didn't choose Donnie because he thought he could achieve a higher price (that was a bonus), but because of his superior knowledge & felt he would work harder for us compared to other agents we had discussed the possibility of getting our listing with. Being relatively new to Australia, Donnie also offered to assist us with the negotiations of the purchase of our new property out of the area.
