•Initial contact with the real estate agents when first showing interest in the property was highly attentive and incredibly accommodating. Once we were prepared to make an offer, we found the communication began to quickly decline right through until settlement. We were dealing with two agents at the office, and were never directed to prioritise communication with one over the other - both were contacting us with different parts of information relevant to our sale, and both were inconsistent in their communication with us. For example, when we inspected the property initially (before even making an offer), we were advised that ALL faults would be fixed prior to settlement, without question. When we arrived for our pre settlement inspection and identified that things had not been rectified, we were advised in no uncertain terms by the other agent that unless documented it was considered property 'wear and tear', and we would have to accept that (despite being new and never lived in). The communication between agents seemed inconsistent - we were advised one thing by one, and another thing by another. The pre settlement inspection (3 days prior to settlement) was a complete waste of our time. All 30 items agreed to be rectified prior to settlement, were not completed and despite our disappointment, we were advised that the developer had up until an hour before settlement to rectify. Poorly managed communications between developer and us prior to settlement. We greatly appreciate the accommodations made throughout the contract period to allow us to visit the premises on multiple occasions with no hassle. It was disappointing and albeit an anti-climax to have arranged a time to collect keys and meet the agent on settlement day, only to find that they had left the office just a few minutes prior and we had the exchange with the receptionist. It would have been appreciated if the purchase could have been seen right through to the end.
