A pleasant, stress-free experience

House-hunting can be a very stressful experience, especially when looking interstate. Darren made that process remarkably easy for me, even a pleasure. I was planning to move from Canberra to Brisbane and had been searching the internet for nearly five months when the ‘perfect’ home popped up one Friday. The vendor wanted an offer by 5pm Monday so I flew to Brisbane the next day. Although Darren always made it clear that he was acting for the vendor and he was busy advising several other potential buyers, he could not have been more helpful to me. He gave up his Sunday to show me through the home and was refreshingly candid about its qualities and limitations. At no time did I feel pressured by hard sell. He understood my needs and expectations, and allowed me freedom to inspect the property at my own pace. Importantly, Darren’s detailed knowledge of the neighbourhood also gave me insights into the community life and local facilities. When my offer on the house was accepted, Darren guided me through the peculiarities of Brisbane’s purchasing procedures, even driving me wherever I needed to go. The house needed some minor repairs, which Darren also arranged to have done quickly. Through the whole process, Darren’s courteous and considerate manner made me feel I had an ally working for me. Rather than the stressful battle I had expected, thanks to Darren I had a remarkably smooth transition to my new Brisbane home.
