•I had the good fortune to own a home young. I had grandeur plans to "do it up" over the next 10 to 15 years. Then I met my Wife. She also had a home, a better home, so mine was rented out and quickly depreciated in wear and tare. The origanal Agent that sold it to me told me to rip down walls and all sorts, others looked at my home and turned their noses up to it, my home at 240K was beneath them. Then A Christmas card came from Brent, checking on how my career had been going how the family had been and also if we wanted to sell he could help. Well calling him quick smart was an understatement. Brent did not beat around the Bush, he could see he had a challenge on his hands, he could see how much I loved my home and all that I wanted to do with it. It was our home, and Brent knew we could not get our asking price, rather than say we can't get our asking pricehe then was able to show us why, with far better homes than our own that had been under contract for much less. It was a snap into reality as sellers, but Brent did tell us he Could and Would sell our home and that it would not be under this ammount... "could we work with that?" and yes we sure did and where so many agents just couldn't care less, not only did Brent sell our home, he sold it at the ammount he said he could AND he sold it to buyers that not only could see the vision of what the home could be, but to a family that had the time, and most importantly the Tools for all the renos and restoration. It was difficult to sell the home where I met my Wife for the first time, where we had our engagement for the first time, where we lived as Husband and Wife for the first time and mostly where we had our home welcoming our Son to make it a Family home for the first time. We gained a Sale, found the Best Agent, parted with our Home but ultimately gained a true friend in Brent and although we are not home owners, Renting isn't all too bad. When the time comes to owning again, we know He will be there.
