We live independently in three private self-contained private units/cottages on our property
Our 3-bedroom cottage is currently vacant. It has two bathrooms, one which is an ensuite, a kitchenette, three bedrooms and a private balcony. This cottage is part of a multioccupancy building, where communal facilities, including our grey water laundry facility, are located. All cottages are connected to one electricity and solar grid, meaning electricity is included in the rental. Living independently, tenants are also part of a Moshav community, which was once a monastery, built for this purpose. Similar to a kibbutz, our model for communal living is sharing our knowledge about how we care for our land, including vegetable gardens, orchards and citrus trees. We grow our own food, and our gardens are irrigated from Katys creek which runs through our 15-acre property from Toolangi State Forest. Living in a stunning conservation oasis which includes healthy biodiversity, indigenous plants and animals and surrounded by flat farmland, we have a qualified property caretaker who maintains our tanks, roof sprinklers and growth year-round. Rental is negotiable, based upon a potential tenants' experience and passion for horticulture, vegetable gardening, permaculture farming or guesthouse caretaking.
