An experience not worth recommending

I’m two weeks into my tenancy and I am utterly devastated and regretting my decision choosing right choice to rent with. This is the second time I has rented with this company and I’m experiencing the same thing all over again. Requests take too long to be actioned and every request I receive is denied. I spent 6 years at my previous address and worked very well with the landlord. All practical requests were approved. All requests added value to the property and provided much needed use for future tenants. The landlord I now pay a tonne of money to, rejects every request that would make my living comfortable. As a single mother of 4 I need the transition at home to go smoothly. I note that I accidentally left the condition report lapse, after moving my furniture myself taking care of my kids and working all at the same time I got the timing wrong. I rang the office at 9.02 am and was advised they would allow be to do it and never received any email with a new link. Carpets are stained and filthy but I’m expected to have the carpets cleaned every 12 months yet as an ex display home they weren’t cleaned before I moved in. I’ll also add that upon viewing the property, I asked several times if the furniture would stay and was only answered just before a long weekend. I was made to feel like the miss communication error was my fault and made to feel like crap. Eventually the furniture of my choosing was removed but I wanted to attend the property to choose what needed to stay, instead I was given an hour to highlight a PDF. I now have pictures on walls that do not go with my styling and limited space to store it. I also requested that an apparent $1200 mattress that is not worth what it is, be removed after moving in as myself and my children refuse to sleep on it. I do not recommend right choice Albion park and I’m not the first tenant to think that. This is just the tip of the iceberg but all I wanna do is move.

Thank you for your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you are feeling unsettled in the early stages of your tenancy and we appreciate that moving, especially with children, can be overwhelming. Under the Residential Tenancies Act 2010, the ingoing condition report must be completed within 7 days, and we are legally required to adhere to this timeframe. The property was advertised, inspected and leased as furnished, and accepted in that condition under the signed lease terms. Any changes or tenant requests to install additional fixtures after commencement are at the owner’s discretion, and we are obligated to act in accordance with their instructions and legislation. There are break lease provisions included in the lease terms, to assist tenants who have a change in circumstance, or change of mind.
