For more than sixty years, the same family has watched the light travel across these paddocks and out over the bay from a house they built with their own hands. Outside, a large garage, substantial 8m x 13m shed and carport provide generous space for vehicles, equipment and storage.
Across the acreage the sense of space is immediate, softened by established trees and open grass. The land has a history of its own, once part of a much larger dairy holding owned by two brothers in the 1850s, this parcel was the first rural land sold from the original farm. Today it sits within prestigious Scotchmans Hill, among vineyards, working farmland and established country holdings.
What stays with you is how naturally the house belongs to its setting. The view has shaped daily life here for more than six decades. Now for the first time, that outlook will belong to someone new.
