The most unprofessional, stressful and emotionally tolling experience

Unfortunately we had an awful experience which was emotionally and financially draining. We were promised things from Claire when buying that she could not deliver. She promised us early access that she had not even checked with the sellers. We work full time and have a baby and toddler. We found out the morning of the move that we could not have early access. She ‘compromised’ and allowed us to move our furniture in as our removalist was already half way through packing our stuff into their truck. Driving that day to our new house I was trying to find accomodation for my family to stay for 3 nights until settlement. We had to find a kennel for our dogs that are elderly and one, a rescue, has severe anxiety. Thanks to the short notice my husband was left without his insulin supply, I was left without my breast pump. We had to take days off work, my husband was due to start a new job on the Monday. With the mess she caused with settlement she offered money for our accomodation. She gave us $100. 3 nights at the only accomodation we could find was $1000 (a 2 bedroom unit for 4 people) Not including the takeaway and supermarket shops we had to order because we were without our food/nappies/baby wipes etc. If only the purchase had gone as smoothly as the selling of our property. I would not dare risk the stress and additional money this has caused by using this company again. My advice would be if you are a buyer have your solicitor deal with them and get EVERYTHING in writing. We called the seller of the property to clarify what was going on and it was apparent that we were being played against each other. Rather than act in the best interest of the buyer or seller, it was obvious that Claire made some decisions in the best interests of her commission payment, and those decisions resulted in one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had.
