The owners loved living here. The children enjoyed the park next door, and the family loved strolling to the beach on weekends, calling in for the weekend paper, a cool drink or ice cream on the way home. Weekends were a great opportunity to catch up with the locals, and chat to familiar faces of other beach goers. They say it gave them the perfect idyllic beachside lifestyle in a wonderful friendly community. They are sad to be leaving……………….
Having set the home up perfectly to suit their lifestyle, it now presents as a beautifully renovated home, with a lovely open plan living space. A smart modern kitchen (with induction cooktop) overlooks the private rear patio and park. It's a great vantage point to keep an eye on the children as you work in the kitchen.
All four bedrooms have built in robes - you will absolutely love the extended master retreat. The smart modern ensuite and the walk in robe are a wonderful feature. Plenty of space for his and hers!
A rear shed, solar power, and energy saving hot water system are additional features. There's also a bore, which is currently not being used, but can easily be reinstated.
Not yet commercially developed Yorkeys Knob is appreciated by the locals as a top leisure spot. Local retail shops cater for your needs, and the nearby Smithfield Shopping Centre offers an extensive choice of local and national retailers plus services. You also have a local medical surgery, takeaways and restaurants.
The iconic Yorkeys Knob Yacht Club and Marina has long been a favourite spot to enjoy alfresco dining while overlooking the yachts moored in the 197 berth marina.
Other attractions include the Yorkeys Knob Golf Club (favourite with the local golfers) James Cook Uni ( just down the road), schools (you've got a choice of several close by) public bus service ( stops going both ways almost at your front door) and local fishing spots.
All just 15 mins to Cairns City.
