Let's keep to the facts so I do not place myself in a position where I am sued for defamation of character. Settlement occurred on this property while I was abroad with my mother in Italy. It was a cash settlement handled by solicitor acting for our family trust. I received the following email from Aaron dated 12 August 2019, 15:24: Hi Michael, I hope you and your mum are having an amazing time away in Europe. I have just received the confirmation settlement has taken place. I have inspected the apartment and all looks good. the seller had it professionally clean earlier today. They have done a good job but I’d dare say it would be to yours or my standard - more of a swipe down, vacuum and mop. We have all the keys here ready for when you get back. Let me know when you are back and when you’d like to meet and collect them? Travel safe! Many thanks - Aaron Woolard. For a start my name is actually Matthew - so after spending $350k on a unit I would expect a selling agent to at least afford me my correct name. When I arrived home I collected the keys and was shocked to find that the unit had been left completely filthy. If anyone should care to doubt me please contact myself for photos. Aaron's response to my photo's and text messages at 15:20 30 August 2019 was the following: Wow I'm sorry that's terrible. I really didn't take a close look when she told me she paid a cleaner I would have assured it would have been good. I wish I could get her to fix this but there isn't anything legally I can do. I'm really sorry. To paraphrase a later text message Aaron said: If they told me it's been cleaned, what else can I do other then apologise! From Aaron's messages I suppose we could deduce that he had told a furphy and never inspected the unit in the first place. Aaron did not show any good character and offer to assist with cleaning. I found him to be false and will not conduct business with himself or Place New Farm again.
