On the spur of the moment dad at 87 decided he wanted to sell his home in Dromana, his family home of 25 years. So it was my job to interview two Real Estate Agents that were to come and inspect and value our home. At the last minute I emailed Adam and asked him if he could meet with us at 3pm. The first agent came at 11.30, the second at 1.30 and Adam at 3pm. The first agent was very impressive. Interestingly enough he came armed with a box of goodies which were delivered the night before. Something I am not familiar with when wheeling and dealing RealEstate in Melbourne. The second came in with a similar box of goodies and some extras. Really impressive. When Adam came, he was armed with no box. Just a folder. And I did ask him where his box was pointing to the other two. He said he would sell the house and there would be a gift later. Hmm okay then. I asked all agents for their proposals that day as I needed to make a decision and appoint an agent the following day. Adam left at 5pm and the proposal was delivered a couple of hours later. A little more wheeling and dealing with Adam and he got the job. All agents were impressive and it was really hard to choose between two. But only one could get the job. House was then decluttered, and ready for pics. The Team at Belle/Hocking Stewart kept us informed all the way. We signed with them on a Thursday 30th January. Pics were done the following Monday. We went live the following Wednesday - a week after we signed. We had someone go through the following day and on Friday we had our first offer which was very close. The first open for inspection went ahead on Saturday 8th Feb - which caused a buying frenzy which Adam and his team continued to liaise with until 8PM on Saturday evening. The successful bidder was to come in and sign off on the paperwork on a Monday 10th February. She got cold feet by the Monday and wanted to pay less for the home. The property was then sold to a family who will live happily ever after.
Adam was great to work with in our recent purchase. Finance was not easy to obtain for us and consequently we had to request a number of extensions. Despite this being quite stressful for all parties Adam was patient and understanding where others may not have have been. We found Adam easy to approach and would recommend to anyone looking to buy through.
