Adrian did a great job selling my property. He led the team through the pre sales activities, and calmly managed the whole process. When it came to negotiating with potential buyers I think his "less is more" approach worked really well. I don't think the potential buyers were pressured, and ultimately the result was outstanding.

After 10 long months spending nearly every Saturday inspecting properties and having missed out on more than 25 properties in this time , Adrian was of great assistance in finally securing a property. During our search, the areas we looked at expanded from Paddington/Surry Hills to Redfern , Darlington , Erskinville and finally to Rozelle and Lilyfield. During this time we dealt with many agents and the refreshing change I refer to was the consistent approach adopted by not only Adrian , but all the Agents at Bresic Whitney. Whilst they are the vendor's agent and obliged to protect the vendor's best interests , they tread the fine line between vendor and purchaser very well. The thing I appreciated with Adrian and the others I have dealt with, and I must mention Maclay and Guido from their Darlinghurst office , was that they were upfront and honest. If they did not think a property was for us , they would say so and not waste our or their time. They all knew exactly what we were after , our price range and what we liked. Not once over the 10 month period did they introduce us to a property that was outside our specifications and their estimate of what a property would go for was always pretty much spot on , so there were no unrealistic expectations . In this market , no one gets a bargain and I was no different . However what I appreciated was their honesty through the negotiation process - that is the refreshing change. We had some terrible experiences with some other agents ( and yes gazumping is still alive and well ) , and the whole process can be terribly disheartening. However being able to totally trust as truth what the agent was telling you enables you to be very clear in the negotiation process as you know there is no other agenda. My experience with Adrian , and the other agents from Bresic's was exactly that. Unfortunately I cannot say that about most , if not all other agents I dealt with. A 5 star performance all round.

I'll try to put this tactfully: perhaps sometimes, just once in while, people are not totally convinced that all real estates agents are trustworthy. After all, they make money when houses are sold, so it is in their own personal interest to sell houses, and given the way in which commissions are structured, getting that last extra amount for the seller is not really something that makes too much difference to them. Agents around here - Balmain - are all very personable, as one might expect in such a valuable market, and this again might lead to suspicions about their sincerity. I myself had all of the above prejudices. However, Adrian, and I suspect other members of his team, failed to live down to my expectations: all my dealings with him were very much to my satisfaction. He never 'talked my house down' ; he did not try to commit me to an expensive advertising campaign; he was honest about the time frame in which he thought he could sell my house, and finally he got a very good price, more than I thought. It seems to me that Adrian, and the organisation he belongs to, represents a 'new breed' of real estate agents: ones that acknowledge that buyers and sellers in this market are on the whole experienced, and, if I can put it this way, are able to detect bullshit when it comes their way. No hesitation in recommending Adrian, none whatsoever, no bullshit!

Seriously, we can't understand why anyone would choose another agent. Adrian far exceeds any other agent we met with (and trust me, that was every agent in our area. Belle. Ray White. Cobden and Hayson. McGrath). He delivered an above expectation price through forward thinking and purposeful marketing and also tough negotiations and at all times his communication and direction was clear and fully transparent. He's professional and personable and totally committed to achieving the best result. We recommended him to friends and they chose to sign elsewhere and now they regret it and have pulled their home off the market.
