We engaged Hayman Partners to sell our longstanding family home in Curtin on the basis of their reputation as the most knowledgeable and experienced agent for sales in this suburb. This proved to be the right decision. Unfortunately, the timing of our house going on the market was not the best as it coincided with a slowdown in Curtin sales which saw a significant blow out in the average period a house remained unsold. Notwithstanding, Brett and his team of Martin and Emily worked extremely hard to bring on a sale. Brett was very impressive in quickly getting the sale process under way and drawing up a timetable for a quick auction to take account of our impending move to a retirement village. The team was assiduous in following up with potential buyers who had been through the house and in providing us with detailed feedback. Their diligence was rewarded when the house sold after less than two months on the market at a price which given the state of the market we considered to be fair and reasonable. Many thanks go to Emily who assiduously and cheerfully managed the resolution of a planning issue affecting the property which we were unaware of and oversaw the prompt exchange of contracts.

Brett has been uncommunicative since problems arose before settlement, he promised that he woul look into the piles of rubbish left at the property and the 1-2 thousand dollars worth of issues noted. It has been two weeks since I wrote my concerns and he has shown zero empathy or interest. In fact it looks like he was just buying himself some time because he knew we were forced to settle. Its a shame such people still exist within the industry. There are plenty of better agents in Canberra so look elsewhere.
We have used Brett as our Real Estate agent for a number of years. His service is fantastic, he has a great knowledge of the Canberra market and and he is always upfront and honest. He is also very competitive with regards to his pricing structure. He and his team are happy to do the little 1 percenters that really make a different. This time around he had 4 properties to sell as we are moving overseas. He managed all of them very efficiently and we achieved sales for all of them within 4 weeks of listing them. We can't recommend Brett highly enough.
Good overall experience. Only issue is that I would expect was a bottle of good champagne upon purchase. This is the norm in Melbourne. For about $60 I think is it is cheap goodwill.
