Having to engage an agent for the purpose of selling a property due to an irreconcilable relationship is not an ideal task. It is not ideal for the aggrieved party of the relationship, and certainly not ideal for the agent who is required to liaise with the sellers who are no longer able to communicate with each other! Challenge set, and challenge accepted by Brett Hayman and Emily Antill. Both Brett and Emily were consummate professionals from the very outset, while navigating the sensitivities of meeting with both sellers at the same time, and then having to double their communication efforts to meet the needs of two people with very different expectations. Adding to the complexity, selling a brand new apartment that had only recently been completed and settled on through a Canberra winter was never going to be an easy task. Brett and Emily explained the sale process in very clear and understandable language that provided comfort to sellers that had not sold before. It was an easy decision to select Brett Hayman as the lead agent after realising that he and his team had proven results, and could manage the most unique of selling circumstances. Rain, hail, or shine, Emily undertook open homes every weekend, and maintained positive communication throughout the selling period. Both Brett and Emily catered to the individual needs of both sellers, while also being realistic about the best way to process after several months on the market. The final result was a sale at a price that was agreed to by both sellers, and a seamless settlement process managed by Brett and his team at Hayman Partners. Brett Hayman is a quality agent that I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone. Furthermore, Brett has the support of the outstanding Emily Antill who is clearly a shining star under Brett’s tutelage. Both Brett and Emily represent everything you could look for when navigating the jungle that is the property market, be it buying, selling, or investing.

A Good idea – however, I think that I am not the person to be able to make many comments regarding Brett – even though I appreciate his expertise and able assistance provided us in the placement of our house on the market, and for its eventual sale. I say this because I worked with Shane far more than Brett, and therefore I believe that I have not been “close” enough to Brett to give him an honest rating. Of course I will always recommend Brett and Shane to those who are planning on selling their home as they were both very professional and helpful in the sale process and were very successful in the sale of our home.
