When I first met Brian Whiteman, from The Agency, Wamberal, NSW, during his ‘appraisal-for-sale’ opportunity at 34 Macarthur St Killarney Vale, in November 2020, I found him to be a very pleasant chap who showed confidence and professionalism in his work. He was well prepared, with literature outlining the position of the property and where it stood within the market place for achieving a very satisfying result. After fully examining each positive aspect of the house, he took the time to write down all details, including jotting down information needed on each owner of the property, in readiness, should he be granted the listing. For sales, The Agency does have one of the highest commission rates, in the area, but Brian was willing, upon ‘phone request, to reduce this, thus making it more in-line with the majority of other competing agencies. Again, the advertising costs were found to be one of the highest, in comparison, to some of the other competing agencies and I did request, of The Agency, by phone, and before appointing Brian as the chosen agent, if it was possible to reduce the fee by deducting some items. It was not recommended at that point! Once the property was sold, however, a request was made through email, noting elements not used, and Brian was quite happy to adjust the marketing fee and deduct the items not used from the initial advertising fee! Of the family members and their agent preferences, one family member strongly recommended Brian, who gained the listing, and that recommendation led to a very pleasing result. Even though it is a very hot market, at present, he was able to achieve the top marketing price, within three days of listing. It was an excellent result for the street record, which was last achieved in 2017, for a house of its type. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Brian Whiteman, of The Agency, to others looking for a good Real Estate agent.
