I loved dealing with the agency and Alistair worked behind the scenes supporting my agent who worked with me in person. Knowing we had to sell the family home came with a lot of difficult decisions but who to choose as our agent wasn’t one of them. We met with 3 different agents and Alistair was by far the best. He put us at ease straight away and knowing we had entrusted the right person was a fantastic feeling. Needless to say, the house sold quickly for a great price and couldn’t be happier.
After purchasing the property at the peak of the market (late 2016) we needed to sell it to get a new one. Amid the current market during Covid, etc, we were uncertain about our plan especially regarding the sales. We met a few agents and felt even more uncertain when they said “let’s wait and see…” or beat around the bush. Alistair, in contrast, was very confident about the prospect (in fact, thought too confident to fully trust – although at the end it indeed turned out to be real). The most impressive was prompt and logical answers during the discussion around the sales strategy. That immediate logical soundness would be impossible without deep expertise and talent (some other agents boasted a few decades of experiences, but I don’t think the number of years alone is enough to tell about the expertise). We decided to go with him and it turned out to be a great luck. A few weeks later, we finished tidying up on Tuesday, preparing for the first inspection on Saturday. But Alistair came and had a look and suggested another on the next day. The campaign went live 11amish Wednesday, with the first inspection scheduled at 5pm. Of course we didn’t expect much – who would see the ad in just half a day and bother to come to the house on the same day? Unexpectedly, though, I've got a call at 5.30 telling that there is a buyer who wants to sign on spot. After a short negotiation, the house was sold – and the price was at the higher end of our estimation. Within such a ridiculously short time – 7 hours! Surely a bit of luck must have worked, but I would credit Alistair’s ability to match the right buyer to the property. Thankfully, this surprising result expedited our plan. It made me think choosing an agent indeed matters (tremendously). If someone close to me is looking to selling a property in Hills area, I would have absolutely zero hesitation in recommending Alistair – in fact our story about the sales in 7 hours is going viral and a few people asked his contact.
