Positive: - Responsive to email and calls, including while I was overseas during part of the purchase process - Promptly conveyed requests to the seller - Paperwork at each stage was very smooth - For scheduling inspections he had a flexible schedule, which was helpful as we juggled children and work Negative - Applied pressure to quickly go from our verbal offer to exchanged contracts and waiving the cooling off period (e.g. by mentioning other interested parties). Similarly, there was a listed price of 2.2m and we were told there was an existing offer at 2.1m (unclear if that was verbal or a signed contract), which set pressure on the range of acceptable prices. I have not decreased the star rating as I expect these strategies are typical of seller's agents. - I should have gotten professional help for inspections. There were some surprises (e.g. smoke odour in one room, more significant mould than expected in others, and a gas smell when the hot water system runs), that may have been caught and raised for discussion. I have not decreased the star rating as these are more a reflection of the seller and the state of the property.
