Thanks to Anthony Tripodi and team at Belle Real Estate Newtown we miraculously managed to sell our property on the last day before the new laws relating to CGT (Capital Gains Tax) took effect. This resulted in a significant tax saving for us. Anthony told me he never gives up and this was definitely proven as just when a sale seemed unlikely, he produced one off right at the end. A classic example of pulling victory from the jaws of defeat? The sale was always going to be a challenge under Covid-19 circumstances with oft-changing restrictions impacting on the confidence of buyers. As well, we the owners were living in Europe with an eight hour time difference restricting normal easy access by phone etc. Also, the property was rented and the tenants' rights and privacy needed to be considered. Unfortunately, the property which sits in a popular area of Inner-West Sydney could not be given last minute maintenance nor styled to enhance its appeal. The sales campaign was long despite excellent advertising and regular follow-up on the surprisingly high number of inspections for a somewhat fickle market, and there were initially few offers forthcoming as buyers seemed hesitant. At first an auction was planned but then cancelled and Anthony suggested we stick with Private Treaty model. We accepted his advice and experience and about 10 days before the end of the financial year some offers emerged and after some negotiating an agreement was reached with the ultimate buyer. To his credit,Anthony always remained confident that a sale would eventuate and, despite we the owners being sceptical, he was right and contracts were finally exchanged after the ''Cooling Off" ended. We are grateful to Anthony and can confidently recommend his professional services and his team at Belle Newtown. ​

Was given a price guide of $1.4m-$1.5m and once the campaign got underway after 2 weeks price guide was revised down to $1.3m-$1.4m. Communication was infrequent and I was having to chase for updates. It was an investment property I wish I never sold.
