I recently purchased a unit thru this agency, Ashley was the sales person and Robert the tenancy Manager. Each time I viewed the property, I was rushed through in less than 15 mins, because “he had to be somewhere else” I felt like an inconvenience, extremely rushed, and on one occasion he totally ‘forgot’ our appointment. The property had much needed repairs and had obviously not been maintained to a decent standard. Despite repairs being identified and requested, they were still not completed months later. Both Ashley and Robert played a blame game, pointing fingers at each other, with neither accepting responsibility. Ashley was rude, argumentative and dismissive when the uncompleted repairs were pointed out. They were finally done to a barely minimal standard just days from settlement. Within a few days I found myself ‘locked out’ of the building because the agent failed to arrange and provide me with access cards to the building! When I called, I was brushed off and told to go bother an upstairs neighbour who shook his head and told me they were “hopeless” and “did nothing” to maintain the place, he gave me a locksmith to contact to arrange an access card. A simple task that any reasonable agent would have done prior to my purchase. I would NOT use Elders to manage a rental or sell my property. A disappointing and unnecessarily stressful experience!
