As out of town buyers, we had no prior knowledge or experience with any agents. Ashley Hollingsworth was the first agent we called having found a property on the internet that looked interesting. It was several months before we actually made it to Gloucester to view any rural properties but during that time, Ashley kept us up to date with price variations, and what was coming on or off the market that may be of interest. Ashley seems to have a good understanding of what we were looking for in a property and having lived in the area helped. When we finally got around to viewing a selection of properties Ashley did his best to make the process of viewing several places in the one day as seemless as possible. ( significantly more difficult and time consuming to view rural properties than small houses or appartments) . When we decided to make an offer, I believe Ashley handled the negotiations in a professional manner, trying to keep both ourselves and the vendor happy and explaining the process as we went. He was also very helpful with recommendations on the various searches/ conveyances/ inspections etc. I highly recommend talking to Ashley if you are looking to buy, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use him if I’m ever in the need to sell which certainly isn’t in the foreseeable future.
