Austin helped the reviewer buy this property

Dishonest, unprofessional and an absolutely disgraceful experience.

Initially, Austin was pleasant and contactable, although seemingly inexperienced. Unfortunately, as the purchase progressed, his behaviour became increasingly aggressive, rude and unprofessional. My biggest concern was that the vendor kept pets inside as a have a serious allergy. During EVERY inspection, every door and window was open, even at night or in the rain. I repeatedly questioned Austin, specifically about the carpets, and was assured numerous times that nothing was wrong or being hidden. Once the vendor moved out, extensive staining was revealed beneath the furniture. The carpets were so badly stained that we had to replace them throughout. To have raised this exact concern repeatedly and been assured otherwise is unacceptable. Before settlement, the agency described the vendor as “not a nice person” and made it clear they didn’t want to deal with him. Apparently, managing the sale was too difficult, but collecting their commission wasn’t! Settlement day was the final straw. Despite making it clear that keys were to be released upon settlement, we were denied access to our home AFTER settlement had legally completed. The agents then became uncontactable. Austin passed my number to another employee who spoke to me incredibly rudely. When challenged, she stated she was entitled to speak that way because she was “frustrated”. Absolutely astounding! Interestingly, once we refused to authorise the release of our deposit, including their commission, I was suddenly inundated with calls and messages. Apparently, communication only became a priority when their money was involved. My advice? Question EVERYTHING and get every assurance in writing. I sincerely hope I never have to deal with Austin or this agency again. An appalling experience that overshadowed what should have been an exciting milestone for our family.
