It was a reluctant sale; caring for my mother with dementia meant that I had to sell the home I loved. I initially hired an agent I knew personally and he had trouble getting a contract. It happened eventually and the selling price was lower than I hoped. After several delays (and discovering that my agent was acting for the buyers, to my detriment), I had to void the contract. During this time, Beau wrote to me and asked if he could help. The letter had a few syntax errors in it and I was unsure, but I called anyway. I was impressed by Beau when I first met him and decided to give him the sale. He hit the ground running. He had multiple open homes in the first week; my previous agent only had an open when he ran out of leads. I set Beau a higher asking price and he wasn’t fazed, even though other units in my complex sold for much less. Within only 2 weeks, Beau got a contract for MORE than the asking price… as this money was needed (I had to quit my job), I was very pleased. While Beau did not act for the buyer (unlike my previous agent), he still looked after him, which was important to me. By coincidence, I got to meet the buyer on settlement day; that was nice. We both received gifts from Beau, which weren’t cheap either. I must also mention that Beau provided me with some marketing and commission discounts, due to my terrible experience with the first contract. Thanks for getting this far - I would thoroughly recommend Beau. He also lived in the neighbourhood, which I really appreciated.
