It was clear from the outset that Ben August was the right choice for us. He had been strongly referred to us by several friends, including a close neighbour who had just sold their property through him. Ben briefed us on our local market then carefully laid out the strategy of how he would approach the sale of our property. It just made complete sense. He seemed to anticipate every concern we had. There was an unexpected glitch with the physical preparation of our building & Ben was able to promptly secure the resources to manage the solution. Moving forward Ben didn't just talk the talk, he made it happen. There was a thorough briefing at each pre and post showing of the property. We were so glad that we followed his pre-sale recommendations. It meant that every aspect of the sale process was covered off. As I wrote in the testimonial I gave his firm (something he did NOT ask for by the way) - in every house sale, I am sure there as many Downs as Ups. The mark of a true professional is how those are dealt with by the agent in supporting a client. The same goes for Ben August's team, Ben Harding and Jane Bartley who were actively involved in our sales process. To sum up the entire process was a successful collaboration. My wife Lynne and I were made to feel part of the team that was selling our home. We were listened to and where appropriate our feedback was acted upon. When there were times where we needed to face reality, Ben, mindful of our best interests, would deliver those facts, albeit quite diplomatically! The end result was the sale of our property in a timely manner and above our asking price.
