The nature of our home and the timing that we needed to sell did not make for a quick and easy sale process. Dural is a lovely place to live, but it has some challenges. Ours were the proximity to Old Northern and Galston Rds, as well as being on a pump out sewer system. We were also coming to market in the winter months, also in a period of interest rate uncertainty. This provided for a mixed market response that was difficult to navigate for Ben and Harrison. However they stayed in constant contact, giving feedback after every open home, data on the online searches, and pricing guidance all the way through. It was a hard slog for us all, but they were there doing it in the trenches. We got there in the end, achieving a price that while not quite what we had hoped for, it was something we were happy with and more importantly within the timelines we required. It is also important to highlight the hard work of Sharyn Claxton, our Managing Agent at Guardian for the 2 years prior to the sale during which we rented out the property. Again, as as typical of the Guardian team, she went over and above in assisting with some confronting challenges that both us and our tenants had to endure. In this time, she was an ocean of calm in otherwise stormy seas. A true professional. We were fortunate to have Ben and his whole team at Guardian watching out for our best interests. Selling one's home is an emotionally challenging thing to do, and you need to trust the people you engage are on your team will look after your interests. I cannot recommend them highly enough to any future vendor or landlord.
