Having previously had some poor experiences with real estate agents, I was very cautious about how fantastic an agent will tell you they are. So, I approached Betty after she was recommended by some other locals who had bought or sold property with her previously. I found her to be authentic and trustworthy and with a direct communication style, which was exactly what I was looking for. She has an encyclopedic knowledge and understanding of the local real estate market, which she keeps very much up to date on a week to week basis. She has a detailed understanding of what a buyer is looking for in a property, and was very helpful when organising renovations to make the house an attractive buy. It is currently a difficult market to sell a house in Sydney. However, Betty put in a lot of work with understanding what potential buyers were looking for, and established relationships based on trust and respect with everyone involved, which underpinned Betty's approach to negotiation. So, on auction day the house was sold with realistic expectations and confidence in the process.
