Hi Sonya,
We are genuinely sorry for the distress and inconvenience this situation has caused you, particularly given your personal circumstances. We understand how important it was for you to secure a powered block, and we regret that this matter has had such a significant impact.
At the time the property was listed, we were advised by the vendor that the land was connected to power, and this information was communicated to us in good faith. As part of our standard process, we do make efforts to verify details wherever possible; however, there are instances where we must rely on information provided by the vendor and other third parties. Unfortunately, in this case, the information supplied to us proved to be incorrect.
While we acknowledge that this does not undo the inconvenience or frustration caused, it was important to us to respond promptly and reasonably once the issue came to light by providing a mutually agreed option of compensation.
We also include a standard disclaimer in our advertising materials to highlight that, while care is taken in preparing information, we cannot guarantee its absolute accuracy and encourage all buyers to undertake their own independent enquiries and due diligence before proceeding.
This was an unfortunate situation for all involved, and we sincerely regret that your experience did not meet expectations. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our processes to minimise the risk of similar issues occurring in the future.
Kind regards,
Raine & Horne Bundaberg Team
