It is fair to say we have encountered a large number of ‘real estate agents’ over the past 6-12 months. Unfortunately for ourselves many of the agents we encountered over this period clearly demonstrated a quick dollar was far more important than the service they are licensed to provide. In many cases a complete disregard for the public was displayed through under-quoting, misguided information and a general lack of attention to anything other than received commission. It was therefore a welcomed surprise when dealing with Brent for the first time. Brent provided a very transparent and considered approach with a perceived balance of both vendor and purchaser in mind. We asked and received an honest appraisal of the property and area, which was independently verified without Brent’s knowledge. More importantly, questions on asking price and vendor expectations were met with a straightforward response. We were told the purchaser was looking for prices above x range and will only consider prices for pre-auction above x range which fell in line with comparable sold prices in the area, and not the standard 10-20% below. This transparent approach allowed us, as potential purchasers, to evaluate our respective position and intentions weeks before auction date. Whether intending to bid on the property or not we received a clear understanding of what was required from Brent without having to ‘play the game’ that has become all too common in recent years. Brent provided a very professional and transparent approach to his role as a conduit between the vendor and ourselves, which other agents across the industry sadly lack. We ended up purchasing our property through a pre-auction offer at a price we felt was fair and a price indicated by Brent, on our very first viewing of the property, would be considered by the vendor. It is fair to say we are moving into our new home predominantly because of Brent’s honest approach to selling real estate.
My wife and I have bought a few properties over the years and found Brent from Rendina Realestate to be the ultimate sales man for our property the main reason I give this recommendation is he kept us informed all the way through the sale and we feel he went to the very end to get us the best price possible we are very pleased with the result.
