I listed my rental unit in Ringwood East with Noel Jones/Treeby as I was satisfied with their management of the unit. After having been persuaded to paint the unit through prior to being presented to potential buyers the unit was first open for inspection on a Saturday in late November. On the Monday Margaret called me and suggested that the web site be updated with offers accepted up to 5pm on Tuesday ( the next day ) and potential buyers be contacted and advised accordingly, as there was great interest on the Saturday open for inspection. I agreed with this strategy which turned out a winner. Three excellent offers were received with all being $30k to $50k over my expectation. One was accepted and settlement occurred before Christmas. Apart from being regularly informed of progress ( including the vacating of tenant and preparation of unit ) I acknowledge Brett and Margaret's persuasion of me to paint the unit internally resulting in top presentation and the strategy to bring buyers to a head while they were hot and ending in a most satisfactory quick sale.
