Testimonial Concerning Agent Brian Kong

I wish to place on record my sincere thanks to Brian Kong of Stone Real Estate, Beecroft, for the significant part he played in the sale of my home at No. 10 Lancaster Ave., Beecroft. He gave invaluable assistance in the lead-up to Auction Day and on the day itself. Brian's knowledge of the value of Beecroft property and his fluency in both English and Mandarin meant he was critical when Chinese-Australians viewed the property. This proved to be significant as such a person was the successful bidder. Brian was there to help her throughout the bidding process and the later signing of the contract. As with all other members of Stone Real Estate, Beecroft, Brian was unfailingly courteous, considerate and positive towards all who came to visit the property. I wish to especially commend the Principal/Director, Kevin Dearlove for his marketing knowledge, integrity and unwavering enthusiasm and the Marketing Manager, Anne Farquharson, for her kindness and incredible attention to detail. Arthur Baillie.

A nice and encouraging guy

First time I met Brian at the auction and I made it. A bit nervous as I did not do much work on the property and no experience of auction. Brian is very encouraging and nice as well as helpful to assist me finishing the whole process and thus I think I did a great job.

Good team, including Brian Fong

The team (Kevin, Anne and Brian) did a professional job in advising me through the preparation and auction process. When the auction did not produce the desired result in a falling market, Brian and Kevin worked hard to get a more satisfactory result. My thanks to them.

Impressive market knowledge

Brian’s knowledge of the local market is impressive. He was prompt with all our inquiries and was always available to answer any questions my wife and I have on the home. He has provided a great buying experience for me and my family, and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to any of our family and friends looking to buy or sell in the area.

Professional, hard working and well informed.

Brian made the process of selling our home enjoyable. Nothing ever seemed to be a problem and he possessed an excellent understanding of the market. Brian is clearly good at what he does and when you couple this with genuine enthusiasm…it is a rare mix. Thank you.

We got to know Brian very early on in our sales campaign with Stone. His confidence and passion for his job is evident from the moment you meet him. He was an integral part of the Stone Team, actively engaging potential buyers and the open houses and diligently following them-up. Very happy with Brian...thank you.

Waited 3 weeks, Auction Pass-in & Everything after!

We could have closed this deal much before auction at a price above guide but I was told it will go to auction. Knowing what happened at 49 Orchard Auction, 955sqm bigger house - sold below guide 1.9 with only 1 bidder 1.86; I was almost certain 1.8 was already a good guide for this 700sqm, yet I was happy to pay some premium prior to auction as I live in the neighborhood. Come auction day, Performance poorly exposed this fringe market is falling faster than I expected [same happened in 2018 downturn too], none of the bidders came anywhere near guide. Still I was ready to reinstate my previous stance after pass-in. but I didn't receive any feedback on Saturday. Tried to reach out on Sunday again, still no response. Monday I realized my offer was being used against some new buyer, with my budget I could still beat it, but late afternoon I was not be able to spend time as workdays are busy for me, and I realized my offer was still being used - got me bit upset as I hoped things could have closed over the weekend itself. Anyway, next morning I was informed it sold to other party, and probably money didn't matter anymore, timing was everything Lesson learnt - I am not a fan of using one's offer against other, I prefer those who asks submit best offer & then talk to highest. There r some who gives wining target, no back & forth, I like this type too. Third & the best agent in my neighborhood says she is 'the matchmaker in the community' - I bought my one from her in 2018, one transaction is not the last, it's a community, every buyer can turn seller and vice versa, where agent acts as great matchmaker. I really like this type. She wouldn't sell if you missed a call one evening, cause they know u were around for 3+ weeks and live in the community. Nonetheless, Brian's smile is probably the best feature that still keeps me coming back and now that I know the nego style, next time I will adjust my actions, fingers crossed - he promised to find me another one :)
