We cannot fault Brittany throughout the entire selling process. She truly treated the sale as if it were her own which resulted in a great outcome for us. I waited a while before I put in this review so as not to let momentary emotion get the better of my judgement. However, a few months after the sale, I still have some nagging issues: - the agent made tall claims of the market at the time of signing (despite concerns raised by us given recent experience with next door neighbours' sales process) but quickly back tracked and could not keep up with the pace of change in the market (to the buyer's advantage) - despite less than favorable interest during open homes, pushed to go ahead with auction despite of our concerns. There were zero bids at the auction. - when an offer was made, it was hard to tell if the agent was acting in our interest, or the buyers'. Suggested (almost insisted) we accept an offer that was $20k less than final price - agreed to lower commission to effect the sale (a much appreciated and welcome gesture). However, did not make it clear in relation to treatment of GST... Meant a further loss of 10% Overall, inexperience came out during various dealings. Would have much appreciated a straight, honest transaction and relationship. Yes, managed to find a buyer... But got there ugly.
Brittany made the selling process an unexpected pleasure. Her outstanding local knowledge reassured us of our decision in choosing her and her communication skills were second to none. We were constantly consulted , as we requested, and updated on the progress of our sale. Brittany was great, we appreciated her efforts in getting the deal done. She did unfortunately not pass on information regarding our view on the rental price for the property (a view that she originally suggested), although this may have been my fault in that i could have been clearer with the Kellie Allen.
