Tim Heavyside sells real estate!
We selected Tim on the basis of a recommendation from friends who had sold in our street about 3 years ago. Despite their recommendation, we approached another local agent, but weren't at all impressed by their approach. Tim arrived on time for our evening meeting and was engaging and friendly - but we expected that. Two things really sold us on Tim - his detailed knowledge of, and deep experience in, the market in Surrey Hills, and his clear explanation of how he would harness it to sell our property.
He told us the price-range in which he expected to sell our home which turned out to have been marginally low, but we're not complaining.
It is quite clear that Tim's most significant work in selling a property is done in the week before the auction, when he discusses the sale with the potential purchasers he has identified. No-one sees this happening but, when he arrived for the auction, he was confident about who would, and who wouldn't, be bidding.
We had a meeting with Tim on the day before the auction. Normally, an agent uses this meeting to 'crunch' vendors on the price. They'll usually be told that 'the market just isn't there' and 'you'll probably have to lower your price expectations'. Tim simply said that we had followed his recommendations on the advertising campaign, we had prepared the house well, and that selling the house was now his problem, not ours!
Tim's skill goes way beyond the brochures and advising about presentation, which he does very well. He actually sells real estate. That's what you want your agent to do - and he does it superbly
The only niggling criticism is that, when Tim's offsiders handled the open for inspections, we didn't always get a report afterwards, hence only 4/5 above for Communication. But this is insignificant when compared to the skill, experience and energy Tim brought to the campaign
