We purchased land to build our dream home. The terms of the sale were clear to us but when we didn't hear from the agent we contacted them to be told we were already inside the settlement. The excuse was that someone was away and they had all been busy! We raced around to get all of our paperwork ready for settlement, only to be told on the day of settlement that the vendor was overseas and could not sign the contract - therefore we had to settle 8 days later. No communication or followup and it took 3 emails to Directors higher up to get a response or answer at one stage. I would of thought RT Edgar would be a bit more professional and actually look after their clients. After our experience I would never recommend RT Edgar to anyone and it just reinforces my lack of confidence in Real Estate agents who treat clients as above.
