My name is Barb Hannan my husband Adrian and I had a long held dream to "Escape to the country" Living in suburbia most of our lives we were looking for a sea or tree-change. After searching a number of years we found this little cottage in Mt Evelyn. I had not looked in Mt Evelyn before so was particularly unfamiliar with the land/house values and as a result quite wary. The fact that the parcel of land was ten acres and in a green belt/farming zone, quite near forest, also concerned us BUT the fact that it included a Rose Farm with 30,000 roses, 20 poly tunnels, massive shedding and infrastructure, as part of the package was very daunting, to say the least. Being Songwriter/Producers meant we were particularly out of our depth and definitely in unchartered territory. With Carol Pitman's experienced and honest guidance we worked through most of the initial objections immediately and over the following days resolved any other concerns. Before long we had our hearts set on the property so with Carol's guidance put in an offer we hoped they couldn't refuse, yet felt a very fair result for all concerned. What has been an absolute bonus is the mediation Carol brokered between ourselves and the previous owner, who not only has left the property in excellent condition but since become so very helpful and frankly invaluable to us during this massive learning curve transition. Thank-you again Carol for your patience, honesty, encouragement and words of wisdom. We are thrilled!!!
