I had my investment property managed by Murphy Boyden for seventeen years. What an outstanding service they provided, but that is another great review to write another day! I chose to list to sell with Cathy, and it proved to be another excellent choice. Cathy is very sincere (she actually cares about her clients), is very relational, has a gentle and calm manner about her (she tells you honestly where things are sitting, and you are never railroaded into making a decision), she always kept me well-informed, was realistic in her appraisal of market value, realistic in determining what needed to be done to the property (and what did not need doing) in order to present the property ready for sale, was always proactive in arranging the necessary pre-sale works and then following through to ensure they were completed. The trades she engaged carried out the works at reasonable costs and she seemed to always be able to have them squeeze my work into their packed schedules, which was all the more remarkable, considering we listed only fifteen days before Christmas! It is said that a person's true character is revealed when that person is placed under pressure. As some of you will know, Murphy Boyden's office was subject to an arson attack around the time of my listing. The disruption to the operation of the business was huge. However, living in another part of the state, I was unaware of events, until Cathy told me some time later. To be honest, if she had not told me, I would not have known....she carried on delivering the service she does, without any wavering, under great pressure, delivering the goods. And so, within eleven days, the property was under contract, at a satisfactory price for both seller and buyer, finally settling in early new year. So, would I list with Cathy and Murphy Boyden again? Absolutely! Thank you, Cathy and all the Murphy Boyden team....my only regret is that I no longer have regular contact with you all.
