We recently sold an apartment for a record price. I have my own business, I’m a fairly hard marker when it comes to assessing any type of professional services. In this context, here’s my scorecard on Chris Chung: Responsiveness – he proactively managed all communication from the point of our initial contact. We never waited for answers, day/night/weekend/travelling, he’s was on it, no delays. Added value – if you live in Sydney you can fool yourself that you know a bit about real estate, but there’s a difference between the layperson and the expert (and in real estate that means $). Chris didn’t impose his thoughts, he gave examples and recommendations, particularly on the sale preparation. For every $1 invested in a few cosmetic repairs and styling I got $10 back based on his advice. Accuracy/prediction – in my experience if Chris said something was going to happen, it happened. In my case that meant on all the important measures (visitation, contracts, registered bidders, etc.) he predicted the outcomes. He got one wrong though, the final selling price, he got us $43,000 more than our agreed highest expectation (on a 1 bedroom apartment, so no small feat). Previous to this sale I hadn’t sold a property since 2010. In that time, I think the standard of service from all agents has improved but even in this environment I think Chris is a leader. I unreservedly recommend Chris and would engage him again without a second thought.

Whilst selling property isn't an easy game at the best of times, for those who start their career in a market upswing , it's unlikely that they truly appreciate the challenges involved in their industry until they go through market stagnation or a downward cycle. Chris has been around a long time and has seen it all.
