Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback Eric. We are genuinely sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience.
We would, however, like to clarify a few points for anyone reading this review.
We always offer 5 recommendations for reputable building and pest inspection companies, and also make it clear that buyers are free to engage any licensed inspector of their choosing. At the buyer's request, we arranged an inspection with one of those independent companies, who provided a very thorough and comprehensive report.
The buyer also completed a pre-settlement inspection with both the seller and ourselves present, whereby the property's plumbing, electrical fittings and other inclusions were checked – the buyer was very happy with everything and gave approval to proceed with settlement.
Throughout the transaction, we worked closely with both parties and also accommodated a number of requests from the buyer, including extensions to contractual timeframes, to assist in achieving a successful settlement.
As with any home approaching 20 years of age, some minor routine maintenance is to be expected over time. However, we respectfully disagree with the suggestion that the property contained "lots of hidden issues" or that the sale process lacked transparency.
Our team has built its reputation on honesty, professionalism and transparency, and remain committed to ensuring every buyer and seller is treated fairly throughout the sales process. We remain proud of the way this transaction was conducted and wish the buyer every happiness in their new home.
