Growing up in a family with a father who has been a prominent Perth Real Estate agent for many years, it was inevitable Colleen Gandini would not only embark on a real estate career but was sure to flourish. “Real estate was a part of our family life as I was growing up and even before I became a sales representative I was seen by friends as a source of real estate knowledge,” Colleen said. “If they wanted to buy or sell a home they would often ask my advice before approaching an agent.”
After a successful career as a sales manager and Marketing/Promotions coordinator for a national retail chain, Colleen continued in this industry as TAFE lecturer and training provider to the private sector. In the years since joining the real estate industry Colleen has met with an impressive success rate.
When asked to explain her success, Colleen said it was all about belief. "You have to do more than your homework. You really need to know your client’s needs and wants as well as have an intimate understanding of the home and the area far beyond just the bricks and mortar. Every property is different and I work hard on finding the unique selling proposition for all the properties I represent. Having lived locally for over twenty years is a definite advantage.”

Armed with the unique selling proposition, Colleen then concentrates on individually marketing each property.
“Rather than simply putting up a sign and placing an ad in the paper, I use different methods of promoting each property to targeted clients. I have also developed an effective database of past and new clients and use email and phone contact to inform them of a property coming onto the market which may well suit their needs.”
Eighty five percent of Colleen’s business is by referral from more than happy clients who have found her calm, knowledgeable approach just works.
