Call me cynical, but I never thought I'd meet face to face someone who truly and sincerely loves what they do for a living; that is until I met Colleen Stockley. I've dealt with numerous agents before (and I even worked in the industry years ago), and in all that time I never met a genuine agent who truly cared about both vendor and potential buyers, and was truly sincere. Selling your home is a huge decision, so you want to know you're dealing with a true professional and not an opportunist. Prior to giving my listing to Colleen I interviewed a number of agents, and I ticked them off on most of what I call the "no-nos" of anyone involved in a customer service industry: 1. They don't listen to the customer 2. They automatically assume the customer knows nothing about buying and selling real estate 3. They promise the earth just to get the listing 4. They don't ask the right questions to find out about your needs, and 6. (the most important point): once they have your listing you can NEVER get them to return your calls, reply to your emails, and you rarely get feedback from them in regard to the whole process. Of all my past experience with agents Colleen was the only one I found who DID NOT commit any of the no-nos. She was professional while empathetic; she didn't talk down to me (as if I didn't know about the process of selling my home), and she kept me fully informed throughout the whole process. Add to this her sincere and caring way, including helping with those little things, such as wiping down windows, putting away the rubbish bin or collecting mail from the mailbox, and you have a great agent who cares for your home. I moved out of the area prior to my home going on the market and all I had to do was give Colleen the keys--and she did the rest.
