Selling our mother's house.

I attended a few auctions close to my mother's house over recent years to get a sense of what her property would be worth when it came time to sell. Following this experience, Con and other representatives from Barry Plant made contact with me to see how we were going. Their approach was not at all 'pushy' but just kept us in the loop, willing to provide advice when required. When mum passed away in an aged care facility there was a difficulty removing the tenant from the house. Even though the property was not rented through Barry Plant, they were very supportive in arranging a VCAT application for eviction. Leading up to the sale of the property, Con Kara was constantly in touch with us, clearly laying out the process along the way. He had an excellent knowledge of the current market trends. He professionally and personally guided us through the whole process, answering our many questions, putting us at ease and giving us confidence in his approach. He was always available by text, email and phone and leading up to the auction, arranged weekly meetings with us at which he provided open house data and selling price trends. During the auction Con was highly professional. He had prepared us well for whatever the outcome was to be. He highlighted the many features of the property to the assembled crowd and skillfully guided the following 44 bids until it was sold well above what we had hoped for. Con has followed up with us after the auction as well. Selling or buying a property is not that easy when most people only do it a few times in their life. Con made this process as easy as possible and gave us confidence that we were in good hands. For us, the end result was highly beneficial, to which we thank Con for his guidance and caring professional approach. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Con Kara and the staff at Barry Plant to others in search of a quality real estate agent.
