Craig and his colleague were conservative in the valuation of the unit. It ultimately sold for 10% to 15% more than they valued it for. I have since received a valuation of $500,000 for a downstairs unit. I accept that it was a difficult unit to value given its age, location and absence of identical units elsewhere in the district. But the valuation aside, Craig was diligent in his efforts to obtain the best price possible, diligent in maintaining frequent contact with me, diligent in keeping me abreast of potential buyer response. He and his colleague did all they could to present the property as best as could be done both in terms of verbal description and picture presentation. He demonstrated maturity and sensitivity in handling a buyer who found the purchase negotiations difficult, if not traumatic. And as noted at the outset, he and his colleague obtained a price significantly higher than either expected.
