Purchased new home. On inspection all doors and windows were open and strong breeze flowing throughout. Put in an offer which was accepted. The agent and vendors would not allow access again prior to settlement even though I flew from another country with my 3 small children to have another look and figure out if their beds would fit etc. On settlement discovered that the carpets and underlay were soaked through with dog urine and if every window and door was not open a thick urine smell permeated the place. That was a nice surprise. If I had known would have simply budgeted for new floors upfront. Instead it delayed my ability to move in with my kids as the floors had to be replaced to make it livable. Good job hiding it Realty Lane!
