We initially spoke to Dan about a listing he had for a block of land. He took the time to ask our circumstances and what we were looking for and told us about the house we eventually bought. We had seen the listing but it was listed at an 'offers above $' price and our recent experience had been that homes were selling for well above the offers above price so we didn't want to waste our time. As we were coming to town to inspect another property, he encouraged us to at least inspect. We fell in love and of course, still felt we'd never match the asking price of others. On a limited income, we had a finite amount to spend, so our offer was based on that. We remained detached from the outcome, trusting that if it was meant for us, the stars would align..and they did.
