Daragh was aware the house likely to come up for sale and approached me. We had a conversation, and later after interviewing another 2 agents decided to use McConnell Bourn. Daragh organised the minor works needed to bring the house to a sale standard after the tenants left, since I was overseas at the time. When I inspected the house after returning I was very impressed, as the house and gardens looked outstanding. The property was to be auctioned, and a couple of low offers rejected since the auction was likely to provide a better price. Daragh had let the buyers know that low offers were likely to be rejected and that they would need to improve. One of the buyers made an offer that was 150K higher than their initial proposal. Then another interested party called to make an offer. Daragh negotiated an afternoon of offers and counter-offers and secured an additional 150K increase. All in all an excellent outcome, with a 300K increase in price over the course of a day.
