House-hunting can be a very stressful experience, especially when looking interstate. Darren made that process remarkably easy for me, even a pleasure. I was planning to move from Canberra to Brisbane and had been searching the internet for nearly five months when the ‘perfect’ home popped up one Friday. The vendor wanted an offer by 5pm Monday so I flew to Brisbane the next day. Although Darren always made it clear that he was acting for the vendor and he was busy advising several other potential buyers, he could not have been more helpful to me. He gave up his Sunday to show me through the home and was refreshingly candid about its qualities and limitations. At no time did I feel pressured by hard sell. He understood my needs and expectations, and allowed me freedom to inspect the property at my own pace. The Lewis-Date team were knowledgeable about the Tarragindi area, and were clear on the seller's settlement requirements, and made everything sound really straight forward and easy. However as the buyer, I found them to be less than helpful after signing the contract. The clincher of this was not assisting a pre-settlement walk-through as requested, and not actually being present to hand over the keys. It was just lucky we got there as the receptionist locked up otherwise we wouldn't have gotten keys that day!
