We first met Darryn at an Open for Inspection of the property that we eventually bought through him. He was well presented, friendly and professional. The only criticism I would make - he did not suggest to us any other properties that would meet our criteria for purchase. However, we decided to list our property for sale with him. He was well informed re presentation, de-cluttering etc. without us having to go to the expense and trouble of major repairs and alterations. The photos taken were amazing - we did not want to move ! He advised us well when to proceed with a price reduction to engender continued interest. He was always agreeable to Open for Inspections - as many as we wanted , which suited us. We were kept informed at every step of the way about what prospective purchasers had thought of our property - negative and positive. At the appropriate time he skilfully negotiated a price agreeable to us as Vendors, and followed up diligently the payment of deposit, cooling off period, Building and Pest Reports and satisfactory Settlement for us.

We were most impressed with the service given by Darryn Shawcross. After initially making an appointment with another agent in Hervey Bay who didn't bother to show up,we walked into Harcourts and spoke to Darryn. Darryn came straight over and spent a good hour explaining the market and giving us pointers on how to best prepare the property for sale. We went off and did our own research on property values etc.and found everything we were told at our first meeting was pretty much spot on. So we signed a sales agreement and found Darryn to be well organised,well prepared and often a step ahead of things. Darryn managed to negotiate a quick sale at a "high end"price with a cash buyer. We thank Darryn for making the experience as painless as possible.

Darryn showed us the property we ultimately purchased even 'though our initial reaction was "beautiful house, but too big for us". Our visit was, as a result, very brief as we flew into Hervey Bay just to view a few properties. Gradually, we moved towards the one Darryn had shown us and we required lots of additional information. He helped with this and promptly submitted offers and purchase conditions to the sellers until we were able to agree. Even in the period prior to settlement, he was able to help us abstain additional information which made our eventual move into our new home easy. Thanks Darryn
