David is honest and will tell you up-front exactly what he is seeing in the market and how that effects the property to be sold. They have access to buyers who want to purchase property in Leichhardt and this certainly was extremely beneficial to the sale of our property with an excellent result. We were really excited to work with David as he sold us our house years prior but we didn’t have a great experience this time round. We were very much aware that the market had downwards shifted but also know our house hadn’t dropped in original value from when we bought it but we felt bullied to take offers that were not acceptable and felt rushed to sell as quickly as possible even after 1 week on the market. We felt like we were on an emotional roller coaster - one day we would be lucky if we get a buyer and to not go to auction, the next we had 3 repeat inspections and we should go to auction, the next back to negative. We ended up having to push for the absolute minimum with the buyer who ended up purchasing as David kept telling us to take original offers. David presents well and obviously talks well with potential buyers but we didn’t have a great experience being on the other end. We also got roped in telling us our house would sell for a lot more and then when on market they lowered it dramatically telling us the market had gone down. Yes the market has dropped, but only by 6%, not sure 15%!

I don’t normally give reviews but in this case David Eastway and team have earned our highest recommendation. Our relationship with David began when we were working away from Sydney for a long-term contract, and having left our house in Sydney vacant for some time, chose to rent it. We came back during one Christmas holiday, frantically cleaned everything out, but eventually ran out of time so that – whilst vacant – the house needed a fair bit of love and care to get ready for rent. David met us at the property and I was initially sceptical, this good looking guy in a very sharp suit meeting us in our slightly run-down property, but he was an absolute champion, very humble and genuine. He gave us solid advice, made available the help of his extended team, and we basically gave him the house keys and went back to Melbourne, just simply trusting him with the whole process. That trust was very well placed; not only did they help us get the property into great shape, but they found us fantastic tenants, and helped deal with all the little issues that crop up from time to time when renting out a property. It really was truly painless, and a huge comfort knowing that they were managing things for us while we were away. The time came for us to sell that property and we never had any doubt who to ask to help market it for us. Once again, David gave not only excellent advice but his whole sales team managed the entire process for us: inspections, staging, clearing, marketing, and just very solid advice and excellent communication throughout the whole process. Their fees were very reasonable, and in the end we were able to sell our property for slightly more than we expected, in a very short time frame. Again; this whole process was done while we were away from Sydney, and simply knowing that we could rely on David and his team to look after us was a huge relief. Would definitely recommend.

Its always a challenge when negotiating with David and Joseooh as they’re very much all about their vendors and they always strives for every penny.
