Disappointing experience lack of care

Buying a home is a major life event, but David Hill’s team made us feel completely unimportant. The initial viewing was cold - the agent stayed on their phone, didn't show us any features, and failed to ask about our requirements. Throughout the exchange and settlement process, communication was nearly non-existent and often felt one-sided, with more focus on the agent's sales stats, and their weekend plans over our transaction. We even had to push back against a last-minute attempt to reschedule our pre-settlement inspection for the agent's personal convenience to service their car and wfh. As property owners with other assets, we were surprised by the lack of professional interest; not once were we asked about our plans for our other property or if we required management services. It was a significant missed opportunity for the agency. We have dealt with much more attentive agents in the area and would not recommend this team for buying or selling.

However, I can see that in your experience this may have come across differently, and that’s something we take seriously. We also acknowledge that communication plays a huge role during the process, especially leading up to settlement, and I’m sorry if at any point this felt lacking or one-sided. Behind the scenes, we did make efforts to be flexible and accommodate your needs — including arranging inspections outside standard times, facilitating additional access for tradespeople, and working around timing requests — but it’s clear we didn’t communicate this in a way that made you feel supported, and that is on us. Your feedback is genuinely appreciated. We reflect on experiences like this to continually improve how we show up for our clients. If you would be open to it, I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you directly and better understand your experience.
