Small hiccups along the way were eventually ironed out, but we turned up to our pre-settlement inspection for the tenanted investment we were purchasing and found the tenant had all but moved out. Seeing as the agency was both the seller and the property manager it seems there was little communication between their sales and management teams. We received the tenants notice of intention to terminated their lease just hours after settlement leaving us with an empty investment property and all the hassle that came with it. More transparent communication would have gone a long way.
